Welcome to our curtain and blind-making studio, where each window treatment is designed with attention to detail, skill, and a love for beautiful interiors. We know that choosing curtains or blinds can feel like a big decision - they play such a central role in the look and feel of a room. That’s why we’re here to make the journey from concept to completion a truly enjoyable experience, tailored to your vision and needs.

Our process isn’t about rushing through the steps. Instead, we take the time to understand what inspires you and what you want to achieve with your space, offering guidance and expertise at each stage. From helping you select the perfect fabric to hand-sewing each detail and ensuring a stress-free installation, our goal is to create a result you’ll love for years to come.
In this post, we’ll walk you through every step of our process, so you can feel confident and inspired about working with us on your own bespoke curtains or blinds. Whether you’re dreaming of luxurious, full-length curtains or a neat, functional blind, we’re here to bring your vision to life with craftsmanship, professionalism and care.
Step 1: The Consultation – Understanding Your Vision
The first step after the initial enquiry is to diarise a Home Consultation and Measure. This will be where we discuss the style of window treatments you're looking for and the functional needs they have to satisfy, such as retaining warmth in the winter, diffusing light, blocking out light, or fitting an unusually shaped window. We believe it's important to listen carefully so that we can create or supply treatments that compliment your home.
Step 2: Fabric and Design Selection

I will help guide you through the design process by suggesting styles of fabric, hardware or hard treatments that work with your room and your vision. I'll bring fabric books and samples, in a range of designs to satisfy different tastes and budgets, but the search doesn't end when I step out of the door, we want your treatments to bring you joy so will happily order further samples to be sent to your home until you've found "the one!". Perhaps curtains or soft blinds aren't the best solution for your window, in which case we may suggest a hard treatment such as a roller blind made up in your own fabric or window film to reduce glare and fading UV rays.
Step 3: Measurement and Custom Specifications
Bespoke window treatments can't be achieved without taking precise measurements. We'll discuss the custom elements such as how you like the folds of your Roman blinds to fall or the benefits of hand pleated headings when wall space on either side of the window is limited. We can discuss the benefits of the different linings and interlinings. All of which can be revisited during the estimation process.
Step 4: Estimating and Final Decision Making
We always want you to feel in control of the situation and so, once we have gathered all the information we need, we'll create an estimate based on our conversations during the consultation. Your feedback is very welcome and we're happy to tweak the elements of the estimate and suggest changes to the products until you're comfortable with the investment and the treatments you've chosen. Once you're happy we will send you an invoice for 50% of the cost of soft treatments (curtains, Romans etc) and/or 100% of the cost or hard treatments and hardware (roller blinds, curtains poles etc). Once the invoice is paid we will move to the next step.

Step 5: The Sewing and Production Process
After all the excitement of the decision making process, things will now go a little quiet and until we are ready to schedule the installation date, we will send you a weekly email update. We want you to feel reassured that although you are now in the work queue, you are most definitely not forgotten!
In the workrooms, we will be busy precisely pattern-matching your fabric lengths, hand sewing your Roman blinds so there are no dastardly machine stitches across the width, measuring and remeasuring to ensure hem lines fall exactly where they need to be, calculating pleat sizes and placement for the best look and finish. It may be quiet for you but this step is where all the hard work happens for us.
Step 6: Fitting and Installation

We don't insist on our fitter installing your poles, tracks and blinds but we firmly recommend it for peace of mind. Not only will our professional fitter, with many years of experience, have all the appropriate tools and fixings to get the job done quickly and flawlessly, but this last piece of the custom puzzle is where we use our expertise to tweak and adjust to make sure the treatments sit perfectly.
Final Reveal – Seeing the Transformation
The culmination of our hard work together, seeing everything in place and looking fabulous, is the best part of the whole process.. Time to sit back and enjoy the transformation that comes with adding the right "jewellery" for the room.
